Hashtags

 My social media experience didn't begin until I was a high school freshman year; this was from a relationship that encouraged me to try it, Since then I have gotten to see various trends and popular post styles or trends that many around the world did at the time.  One of which are hashtags 

This is a quick video going over how they started and its uses. People use them to show the importance of a specific issue, topic, brand, context for posts, and more. It allows you to search for a specific hashtag and see everything that is associated with that particular hashtag. As for its relevance, I still see many influencers use hashtags to show brand deals or just to add that extra one-word context for what the post is about. I think some outdated trends are the ice bucket challenge, cinnamon challenge, Gangnam style, big rave/ random mosh vids, the whip and nae nae, dabbing, etc. These trends like all trends s just eventually reach a peak climax and fade out once people get tired of them and want a new trend to make them feel a part of a bigger community. So some trends come and go but I think it's safe to say hashtags will remain a useful overall popular tool that many influencers will continue to use to make their brand seem savvier.
